Die Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) ist eine wissenschaftlich-technische Bundesoberbehörde mit Sitz in Berlin. Als Ressortforschungseinrichtung des Bundesministeriums für Wirtschaft und Energie forschen, prüfen und beraten wir zum Schutz von Menschen, Umwelt und Sachgütern. Im Fokus unserer Tätigkeiten in der Materialwissenschaft, der Werkstofftechnik und der Chemie steht dabei die technische Sicherheit von Produkten und Prozessen.

Undergraduate Assistant (m/f/d)

Field of study: Gender Studies or an engineering discipline

Working field:

The objectives of the F-SIE project, which is funded by the BMFTR, are to increase the number and qualifications of women in engineering, thereby increasing the self-efficacy, initiative, and innovative strength of female engineers and reducing the gender (pay) gap. To this end, women are specifically encouraged to choose a career in engineering and to pursue it to the best of their ability. On the other hand, it contributes to improving the framework conditions for everyday working life and for the successful promotion of women. A mentor and mentee program is being implemented, and workshops are offered for students, doctoral candidates, and young professionals.

Your responsibilities include: You will be working on the BMBF-funded joint project F-SIE.

  • Support the project management in all project-related tasks
  • Assist in the documentation of the project
  • Organize meetings and workshops

Requirements:

  • Master's student in Gender Studies or an engineering discipline
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Very good German skills; both written and spoke
  • English proficiency is required; very good English skills, both written and spoken, are advantageous
