Your responsibility
Research in the field of quantum cryptography:
- Security proofs of quantum communication protocols
- Simulation of communication protocols
- Research into hardware-related error models and security analysis of hardware-specific vulnerabilities
- Close collaboration with experimental partners
- Organisation of outreach activities such as workshops and public events
- Contribution to research and teaching
Your profile
- Successfully completed academic university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in physics, mathematics or computer science
- Ability to teach in German and/or English is required, as is a willingness to acquire any missing language skills
- Basic knowledge of quantum information theory
- Experience in the Python programming language
- Knowledge of LaTeX
- Knowledge of quantum communication protocols with respect to security proofs and
adaptations to experimental imperfections - Knowledge of hardware platforms, especially photonics
- Experience with the simulation of quantum communication protocols is desirable
