Working field:
Research work within the joint project Modular Load Distribution Structure for Energy and Environmentally Friendly Payload Optimisation of Loading Crane Vehicles in SMEs

- Creation of FE models and carrying out FE analyses of truck load distribution frames
- Setting up and carrying out measurement campaigns in the Berlin/Brandenburg region and southern Germany to determine loads in crane operations
- Desing optimisation of load distribution frames for weight reduction (incl. topology optimisation)
- Close collaboration with several medium-sized companies
- Life Cycle Assessment

Requirements:
- A successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, physical engineering or automotive engineering is required.
- Very good knowledge of mechanical structural analysis, strength, engineering design and the application of numerical methods (FEM) is required.
- Very good knowledge of experimental work is required, for example in automation, measurement and control technology and/or signal processing.
- Good to very good knowledge of NI LabView is required.
- Self-initiative, ability to work in a team; high commitment are expected.
- German language skills are absolutely necessary.
- Preference will be given to applicants with ANSYS knowledge, especially in topology optimisation.
- Experience (e.g. completed internship or apprenticeship) in the field of mechanical manufacturing/production would be an advantage.
