Working field:

A DfG-funded position is available aiming on the design of a CMOS Microelectrode Array (CMOS MEA) for interfacing with neural tissue combined with a memristor array for spike sorting purposes. Both arrays shall be designed, electrically characterized, finally transferred to partners for memristor fabrication and tests with biological contents.


To fill this position a succesfully completed university degree (master, diplom or equivalent) is mandatory in Electrical Engineering or in a similar direction with excellent results. Sound skills in analog CMOS circuit design are required, a background using related design tools (e.g. Cadence), and basic skills in the areas of CMOS processing, electron device physics, electrical metrology, and microbiology.Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is desirable.
