The holder of the position has the possibility to work within a multidisciplinary, internationally oriented team, focusing on health systems, health services research, health economics and management, and health technology assessment. This includes the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and skills in research, teaching and international cooperation. There are flexible and family-friendly working hours and the option of mobile working. There is the possibility of pursuing a PhD and continuing professional education.
Specifically, we are looking for support for the Global Health research area at the Berlin School of Public Health (BSPH). This includes the challenges posed by pandemics and global health inequalities, as well as transnational influences of globalization on health, such as digitization, international migration, the effects of climate change, and the influence of transnational corporations. Projects relevant to the position are in particular the German West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention (G-WAC), and the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) project Pandemic non-pharmacological interventions to flatten the curve as well as the PhD programme Global Health, which is currently being established.
