Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Your responsibility:

The work is being carried out as part of the funded third-party project "Immunotherapy for pancreas cancer", which focuses on the treatment of pancreatic carcinomas using oncolytic Coxsackie B3 viruses. Supporting activities under supervision for the following tasks:

The student assistant will assist with virological, molecular biological, histological, and immunological analyses. This includes:

  • sample collection (10 %)
  • transport and cataloging of samples (10 %)
  • virological (Paque assay, TCID50 assay) (30 %)
  • molecular biological (cell culture, RNA processing, PCR, RT-PCR) (30 %)
  • histological (preparation of tissue sections and tissue staining) (10 %)
  • immunological examinations (FACS analyses, immunoassays, RT-PCRs) (10 %)

Your profile:

Must:

  • Knowledge of cell culture and molecular biology work
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Can:

  • Experience in working with Coxsackieviruses and mice
