Your responsibility:

Research within a project on measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC) and benchmarking. The project focuses on exploring the potential of MBQC for near-term applications, with an emphasis on delegated quantum computing. Quantum software for MBQC compilation and pattern optimization will be developed. The project involves close collaboration with experimental groups and industry to assess the suitability of existing hardware platforms for MBQC. Outreach activities, such as workshops and public events, are also organized.

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of computer science or physics or in a related field
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
  • Extensive Knowledge of Quantum Computing and Benchmarking
  • Experience in Python
  • Knowledge of LaTeX
  • Knowledge of Measurement-Based Quantum Computation and compiling desirable
  • Willingness to travel abroad for workshops and conferences is advantageous
  • Teamwork, Creativity and interest in cutting-edge research desired
