We are look­ing for a work­ing stu­dent with prior prac­tical exper­i­ence in DevOps and Cloud infra­struc­ture top­ics to help us main­tain and con­tinu­ously improve our infra­struc­ture and work­flows for the devel­op­ment and deploy­ment of our entire research and product port­fo­lio which spans:
ML data and train­ing pipeline (both on cloud and on-premise),
mobile apps,
backend ser­vices,
Highly optim­ized C++ lib­rar­ies for use in embed­ded and mobile applic­a­tions

In your role you will get expos­ure to a large vari­ety of tech­no­lo­gies and devel­op­ment work­flows and will work closely with highly exper­i­enced experts in each of these areas. You will also be guided by a senior DevOps expert to sup­port you in your respons­ib­il­it­ies.

In your role, you would help us to:
Help improve the CI/CD in all our devel­op­ment areas
Help our backend and data engin­eers improve their cloud deploy­ments
Design and imple­ment log­ging solu­tions for our cloud vari­ous deploy­ments
Help improve our ML Ops, espe­cially regard­ing data man­age­ment (ETL, secur­ity, avail­ab­il­ity), job schedul­ing, resource util­iz­a­tion, exper­i­ment track­ing
Main­tain and extend our core on-premise infra­struc­ture
Main­tain and extend our hybrid cloud and on-premise GPU cluster

For this role we expect you to have decent exper­i­ence in:
Linux (serv­ers, prefer­ably Debian)
Docker
Vir­tual Machines (prefer­ably using KVM or Xen on Linux)
Net­work man­age­ment (Fire­wall, VPN, DNS, DHCP)
Disk and stor­age man­age­ment (NFS, DAS, NAS, LVM)
Shell script­ing
Sys­tem and Data backup

Addi­tion­ally, it would be great if you already have exper­i­ence in any of the fol­low­ing:
Git­lab
LDAP (prefer­ably IPA)
Kuber­netes
IT secur­ity/ IAM
Ter­ra­form (or sim­ilar)

You will be work­ing with an inter­dis­cip­lin­ary team of seasoned experts in the fields of DevOps, Deep Learn­ing, embed­ded com­puter vis­ion, mobile app devel­op­ment, and backend ser­vices with learn­ing oppor­tun­it­ies abound. Together with us, you will work on highly innov­at­ive products employ­ing cut­ting-edge tech­no­lo­gies push­ing the state of the art.

We provide a dynamic and inter­dis­cip­lin­ary work­ing envir­on­ment where you will play a major role in shap­ing the tech­no­logy and solu­tion stack of the com­pany. Hence, you can expect con­tinu­ous expos­ure to inter­est­ing chal­lenges and new tech­no­lo­gies adding import­ant exper­i­ences to your exist­ing skill­set.
