The U.S. Mission in Germany is one of the largest U.S. Diplomatic Missions in the world, due in large to its vital geographical situation, its political, and commercial importance in Europe. The U.S. Mission comprises the Embassy in Berlin and five consulates in Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, and Leipzig and provides a wide array of services and support as well as playing a vital role in German American relations. The U.S. Embassy Berlin is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of:
Engineer Supervisor (Electrical or Mechanical Engineer Supervisor).

Electrical Engineer Supervisor:
The Electrical Engineer Supervisor leads a team of skilled tradespersons and is responsible for maintaining all of the New Embassy Compound & New Consulate Compound Electrical Power Distribution Systems, both interior and exterior. Included among these components are the generators, voltage regulators, transformers, medium and low-voltage switchgear, automatic transfer switches, motor control centers, distribution panel boards and sub-panels, feeder wire and cabling, branch circuit wiring, lighting and power outlets, and uninterruptible power supply systems.

Mechanical Engineer Supervisor:
The Mechanical Engineer Supervisor is responsible for maintaining all of the components of the New Embassy Compound (NEC) Mechanical Systems, including the Building Automation System, Chiller Plant, Air Handling Units, Variable Air Volume System, the Potable Water treatment plant and distribution system, Sanitary Sewage and storm water management systems, the irrigation system, and the Oil Water Separator Systems. Responsibilities include supervision of the posts maintenance staff that maintains all mechanical equipment and systems throughout the NEC office, residential and ancillary buildings, and the grounds.
Requirements
Your Profile
You have completed the secondary education as well as a Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an accredited university program.
Furthermore, you were able to gain work experience working as a project engineer/engineer at a manufacturing plant, major resort, hospital, office complex, or at a large university/school system. You have also gained experience in managing/supervising a team.
